Monica is head of Access Dental with responsibility for all the organisation's operations. Monica utilises her clinical knowledge, experience and close links with the dental community, both locally and nationally, to fulfil this role. She has more than 30 years of dental nurse experience, having worked in general practice and the maxillofacial department of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Alison has been a qualified General Dental Practitioner since 1986, and has many years’ experience within the local out-of-hours service. One of her interests has been providing all aspects of dental treatment for nervous patients under IV sedation, enabling them to build up their confidence to the point where they will accept most treatments under local anaesthesia.
Peter is an Exeter-based general dental practitioner, runs Pinhoe Dental Training for nurses, is chair of NHS Devon’s Oral Health Advisory Group and acts as dental advisor to its Professional Executive Committee. Peter is especially interested in improving the quality of dental services and is chair of a panel which produces and monitors clinical audit for dentists in Devon, Somerset, Gloucester, and Avon.
Karen looks after the day-to-day running of Access Dental's services, utilising her clinical knowledge and close links with the local dental community. Karen has over 35 years of experience as a dental nurse, having worked in general practice in the UK and Canada.
Kay manages the Health Access Team which provides call handling expertise and administrative support for local dental and healthcare services. She is responsible for ensuring the team provides a seamless pathway for service users and health professionals alike. Kay has worked with the Health Access Team for the last eight years, during which time she has acquired a high level of customer service skills.
